Founder & Chief Pivot Officer, Purposeful Pivot®
I work with people who have built something real and earned every bit of it, then notice that the path that brought them here may not be the one that carries them forward. From the outside, everything looks fine, which makes the disconnect underneath so hard to describe. I gave it a name — the Hidden Cost of Success™ — because once people can name what they’re feeling, they can begin to do something about it.
Where I Come In
People usually find me at a moment that looks like success: a promotion that didn’t feel the way they expected, or a role they’ve mastered so completely it no longer asks anything new of them. Reinvention doesn’t always mean walking away. Some of the most meaningful pivots happen inside the organization someone already belongs to, by reshaping a role or moving toward a different kind of contribution. Others call for a bigger change in career or life, and we build that path with the same care.
I also partner with organizations that would rather re-engage their strongest people than replace them. High performers rarely leave over the work itself. They leave when it quietly stops fitting and no one notices in time, and I help organizations spot that drift early.
The Way I Coach
My approach blends identity work, practical strategy, small doses of experimentation, and a little neuroscience. Rather than asking anyone to take a leap of faith, I use a simple model I call “Think, Feel, Try It On, Do,” testing possible directions through small, low-risk experiments so clarity and confidence grow together. The work is guided by my P.I.V.O.T. Pathway™, a structured framework that moves people from the unknown to action:
Preparing Your Mindset — making room for a new question
Identity Exploration — who you are beyond what you’ve been rewarded for
Visioncrafting Your Future — defining success on your own terms
Opportunity Mapping — paths inside your organization and beyond
Tailoring Your Path — a plan you can confidently act on
We begin by honoring everything you’ve already built, and use it as the foundation for what comes next.
What Shaped This Work
I spent more than 35 years in senior marketing leadership, building brands and leading teams through mergers and organizational change. I loved that work, yet in the later years I kept telling myself a new project or a new industry would reignite my drive. The recognition came, and an unnamed feeling surfaced anyway. Things shifted when I stopped asking what I should do next and started asking why I was doing the work, and where I wanted to go. Once I saw that pattern in myself, I recognized it in talented colleagues, and in organizations that missed the signs until a resignation letter arrived.
I founded Purposeful Pivot® in 2025 to address both sides of that story. Today I coach as an ACC-accredited Strategic Reinvention Coach and speak on the Hidden Cost of Success™. It all comes from one belief: the success you’ve already created is the raw material for what comes next.
What People Say
“I appreciate Kellie’s style of coaching. She asks insightful questions that make me think about my own process and have me reflect more deeply about how I’m thinking about things and how I want to move forward. She keeps our sessions focused with clear actions to complete after each session. I also appreciate the sessions where I’m able to celebrate and share achievements I’d made from our previous sessions. Kellie leaves room for me to have breakthroughs and take responsibility for what I’m creating in my life.”
~ April Y.
“I started working with Kellie a few months ago, when I was feeling lost in my career and demotivated in life. She was like a bright light that showed me the way and gave me the courage and strength to make changes so I could feel fulfilled and determined to move forward. Her positive energy, professionalism, and desire to help are incredibly contagious and always very liberating. Thanks to her, I was able to let go of old patterns, learn to trust myself, and follow my dreams in both my professional and personal life. During every session, I felt safe with her; I felt her support and empathy, which helped me open up and identify certain blocks.”
~ Linda C.
“Kellie has been such an amazing motivational force in my search for a career with more creativity and meaning. She is a great listener who helps quell the negative voices just as much as she highlights the positive progress, which is so easy to overlook when imposter syndrome sets in. Changing a career is scary, but Kellie chunked it into smaller, more digestible steps. She’s helped change my life in ways I’m just beginning to discover.”
